Our postdoc Mark just won the 2020 Research Image Contest of the Beckman Institute with his submission, Polyp Dynamics. The image will be framed and hung in the Director's Suite for the next year. It is an optical micrograph of a baby Elkhorn coral (Acropora palmata) polyp that has been inverted and modified for enhanced contrast of the newly formed tentacles.
